Vacancy Details

Educational Qualification & Experience

  • Essential Qualification: Matriculation (10th) or Higher Secondary (12th) from a recognized board.
  • Mandatory Requirement: A valid Driving License for Light Motor Vehicles (for Chauffeur) or Light Motor Vehicles/Motorcycle (for Despatch Rider).
  • Experience: 2 years of unblemished driving experience is essential for both posts.
  • Preference: For the Chauffeur post, preference will be given to candidates who have worked as Drivers in the Indian Armed Forces and Central Armed Police Forces.

  1. Stage-I: Computer Based Test (CBT) – 100 Marks
  2. Stage-II: Skill Test (Conducted by Delhi High Court)
  3. Stage-III: Interview – 15 Marks

💰 Pay Scale

  • Selected candidates will be placed in Pay Level 5 of the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC), which is a Group ‘C’ post.

Q9: What is the selection process?

  • A: The selection will be based on a three-stage process:
    1. Stage-I (CBT): A 100-mark objective-type computer-based test on driving knowledge, traffic rules, etc.
    2. Stage-II (Skill Test): A practical driving test conducted by the Delhi High Court (on a simulator and road for Chauffeur; on Scooty and Bike for Despatch Rider).
    3. Stage-III (Interview): A 15-mark interview.

Q10: Will there be negative marking in the exam?

  • A: Yes, there will be negative marking of 0.25 marks (25%) for each wrong answer in the Stage-I Computer Based Test.
