Punjab Police has announced an important recruitment drive, inviting online applications for the post of Police Constable. A total of 1,746 vacancies have been made available in both District Cadre and Armed Cadre of Punjab Police. This recruitment initiative is for all eligible male and female candidates who meet certain criteria which we have given in detail below. The application process will be conducted online through the official website of Punjab Police punjabpolice.gov.in. The online application will open on 21 February 2025 and the last date for submission of online applications is 13 March 2025. The aim of this recruitment drive is to fill a sufficient number of posts, candidates who are interested in making their career can fill this form.

Eligibility criteria regarding age shall be as follows:
- Minimum age as on 1st January 2025: 18 years
- Maximum age as on 1st January 2025: 28 years

Physical Standards
Candidates should meet the below-mentioned minimum prescribed height for being eligible for the posts:

Note: All Transgender candidates shall be treated at par with Female candidates in respect of Physical Screening Test and Physical Measurement Test.
Physical Screening Test (PST) and Physical Measurement Test (PMT)
Stage-II Examination will be conducted in the following order:
- Running (PST)
- Long Jump (PST)
- High Jump (PST)
- Height Measurement (PMT)
Physical Screening Test (PST), which shall be qualifying in nature, shall comprise the following events:

| For Ex-Servicemen Female Candidates of age more than 35 years as on 01.01.2025 | (i) 800 Meters Run to be completed in 06 minutes (only one chance). |
SELECTION PROCESS
The selection process shall be a 3 (three) stage process consisting of the following:
- Stage-I: Stage-I will consist of two Common Computer-Based Tests (CBT), multiple-choice question (MCQ) type papers, viz. Paper-I and Paper-II, of which Paper-II shall be qualifying in nature.
- Stage-II: Stage-II will consist of Physical Screening Test (PST) and Physical Measurement Test (PMT). Both Physical Screening Test and Physical Measurement Test shall be qualifying in nature.
- Stage-III: Stage-III will consist of Document Scrutiny.
PAY SCALE
As per the Punjab Government Notification No. FD-FP-10MISC/87/2020-2FP1 dated 29.12.2020, the pay scale of the post of Constable is Rs. 19,900/- and the minimum pay admissible is Rs. 19,900/- per month for three years from the date of joining in service.
